U-Blog 6

as we come to the end of this class i can say that it has been a challenge for me to stay on top of my work. this class isnt that hard but it is a lot of busy work. i feel that next semester that this class should have a little bit less work. i think it should focus more on the training assignment that must be giving by a group. i feel sorry for the people that took the whole class on-line because their were so many changes in this class during this semester. i wish we were able to visit the training site more than one time also. I think that we needed more time to explain everything to the students. a hour or so just wasnt enough time to explain it all

I have learned how to draft a plan for training workshop. Our group is doing AOL IM this was so fun the students loved every part of the presentation. I know all about IM that is where i first learn how to use the internet. So it is easier for me to make a plan to teach people at Lowman home. I have help create step by step then some details in each step. Once everybody do their part, we will come together and revise our plan. I thought it is fun how to create a plan to train them about AOL IM because most of my friends use AOL IM and I also use it often too. It will be fun for the people at Lowman because they can get in touch with their friends and families especially their children and grandchildren if they are old enough to use computer.

U-Blog 4

I was just thinking about the workshop and closer and closer we get i want to know how good are the people in my group with public speaking. i know im alright at public speaking but i dont want none of my memebers or I to get up infront of the people and freeze up. So i want our group to make sure that we get a lot of practice before we go to the workshop.
I'm also afraid that the group of people that we are giving the workshop to aren't going to be willing to want to learn about chatting on-line or using AOL instant messaging. But the more and more i listen to other groups they are coming back with good feedback saying that the people that are apart of the workshops are willing to learn and participate as much as they can so they can learn about the new information
I was wondering if anybody else was feeling like that about their Group project because this is going to be a great thing for the older people at the workshop.

U-BLOG 3

I would like to discuss about the wiki work. it seems that a lot of us are lost on what to do for the wiki. i was trying to work on it the other night and it just seem like all the work was done for me already. when i tried to look up information it was like the other people have already beat me to it. now since i got that off my chest i want to say that the closer and closer we get to the presentation of the workshop i get more worried. i think the crowd is going to enjoy my groups presentation about online chat. the guys that came and gave our class that presentation was a huge help on how we are going to give our presentation at the home.

In this moduel we are talking about learning styles and how different people have differnt styles. I noticed something about myself that these online classes aren't really for me cause i don't know how to keep up with my busy schedule that i already have. In this class I noticed that its not all about doing blogs its more about interacting with your teammates and feeding off each others ideas for the discussion boards. After reading the articles related to learning types and intelligences, I realized only some are suited for online classes and for my learning style. after looking over the articles i feel that online courses are more hand on than people think. its a lot more that goes into online classes as a student of the classes you have to make sure that you understand the work and able to do the work with out actually seeing the professor.

In Dr. Keanes class i noticed that she puts up a lot of links that will help the student adopt to the online learning style the best way that they can. i think that we all can benifit from the online class and the challenges that the class brings

U-BLOG2

What up class i don't know how many of you attended the workshop that was on Saturday. I want to say doctor Norris actually made the workshop fun and interesting for the kids. And i noticed how he kept everything kiddy but he taught the kids on a college level by using the correct terminology and asking questions that some college students would not understand. And while i was in the workshop i was thinking to myself this is the same way we will have to make our workshop for the older people. we are going to have to make this fun and interesting for the people of our workshop. maybe we will have to play a game with them or even ask them as many questions as we can so they can pay attention and they won't be falling asleep

Workplace Learning

I have learned that there is so much to learn in the work place and how you can teach people how to learn in the work place. As i read the articles i notice that a lot of adults don't know how to work or learn in the workplace that they are in. So they have people to teach them how to become better workers and what not. There are two aging trends in the workforce right now A large percentage of the workforce is approaching traditional retirement age and The number of new and younger workers is decreasing. Which is some what true because people aren't really starting their careers til about the age of 27
